Welcome to Weenie Acres!!! We specialize is raising beautiful, spoiled and healthy miniature dachshunds. We have black and tan, blue, dapple, cream, red, chocolate and tan, and piebald. We also raise long and smooth coat puppies. We are located in Windsor, MO on 16 beautiful wooded acres in the country.
My name is LaDonna. My hsuband Brian and I have been married for 24 years and have 3 children. Eleven years ago, I bought my first set of mini dachshund. We all fell completely in love with them. After reading several books and asking other breeder lots and lots of questions, we decided to add on. Now we have 12 females and 4 little males. They are all so sweet and each have their own special personality.
Our puppies are raised in a clean, healthy environment and are handled and played with several times a day. Mason, our eleven year old son, loves helping out with this part of the puppies. We feel the first 8 weeks of a puppies life are very crucial to their overall development. Puppies that are played with, held, cuddled, talked to and given stimulating toys, are more social and out going as adults then those just left in their cages with their mothers care only. Each litter is born in our home and then moved to our kennel nursery at about 1 week old, or when I feel they are doing great. We feed our mothers Eukanuba puppy food when pregnant and nursing to keep them healthy as well as their puppies. Our adult dogs are given alot of love and attention and are also handled and played with daily. They live in an air conditioned and heated home year round with plenty of room to run and play.
